Natural Gas, Duke Energy and the Climate Crisis

March 30, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC+0

Alliance for Energy Democracy is teaming up with the Environmental and Social Justice Crew of Warren Wilson College to host NCWARN and their programing on the crisis in natural gas promotion by Duke Energy and other utilities and the global climate crisis.

NCWARN is presenting three programs in North Carolina to highlight the problems with Duke Energy’s build out of natural gas infrastructure in North Carolina. All of the programs are outlined here.

An excellent review essay, Global Warming’s Terrifying New Chemistry,  by Bill McKibbon on the dangers of natural gas and its effects on the climate crisis was recently published in The Nation.

We hope to see you at Warren Wilson College on March 30th.

The event is free and open to the public
